A Star Is Born in Boynton

There are 24,565 early childhood education centers in the State of Florida.

One of them began in 2007; The Campus for Living Judaism - Chabad-Lubavitch of Greater Boynton's Jewish Early Childhood Center (JECC).

In 2010 - 2011 school year, State and County agencies rated all state-wide early childhood centers. In a statewide VPK Kindergarten Readiness Test, our school scored 200 - out of a possible 200!

In a second remarkable achievement, an 18 month quality rating system, administered by Palm Beach County’s Quality Rating Improvement System at Children’s Services Council, in cooperation with the Early Learning Coalition, Inc. of Palm Beach County, in partnership with Family Central, Inc, Palm Beach State College - Institute of Excellence and the School district of Palm Beach County - the school received the highest rating possible, 5 stars!

"To put due perspective on these wonderful accomplishments," co-director Amy Stevens said, "the rating is based on an 18 month intense review of 5 major areas within the school; The school's facility and environment, it's staff qualification and professional development credentials, the level of family engagement, the program's professional administration and its curriculum."

"Dozens of recent studies all point to the fact that a child's entire life is impacted, in direct proportion to the quality in their early childhood education experience," said Mrs. Dina Ciment, Director.

"To succeed at such a significant level of state and county recognition is testament to the extra-ordinary team effort of our beloved staff and teachers," Amy said.

These testing systems are currently operating in 22 states. Another 28 states are in development.

The school received a $21,000 grant in acknowledgment of its excellence.

By all accounts, though, the exuberance felt within the school's close-knit, extended family of parents, teachers, administrators and children goes way beyond the monetary rewards. "It is an indescribable feeling. More so for each and every lucky child who benefitted, and all those who will benefit from our program, than anything else," concluded school director, Dinie Ciment.
