Our Philosophy
The Jewish Early Childhood Center is a small, intimate and progressive Jewish pre-school inspired by the principals of the Reggio Emilia philosophy. The JECC welcomes every child regardless of background or affiliation and appreciates their differences. Central to the philosophy is a deep respect for the potential and young individuals. Our aim is to connect children to the beauty of the natural world through a learning environment that has been constructed with thought and grace, while tending to their emotional growth and well being. The curriculum is holistically woven with the timeless values and morals of our heritage, coming alive through rich lessons conceptualized by teachers in such a way that the children can learn through their own discovery, hypotheses and exploration.
Our teachers are selected with thought and care. We choose individuals with experience and credentials, who also exhibit warmth and kindness. The JECC staff imparts passion and commitment to each child which will contribute to his/her lifelong learning. They recognize that they have undertaken a sacred task.
